The women who have marked the history of jewelry, visionary creators as Jeanne Toussaint, Suzanne Belperron, and Renée Puissant, along with the “muses”, those great clients and collectors of this particular and meticulous art form, such as Farah Diba, Marlene Dietrich, and Elizabeth Taylor, will be honored in a conference at Fondation Opale.

Althéa Hanshaw, a specialist in the Jewelry Department at Christie’s in Geneva, will guide you through the fascinating world of jewelry with a unique perspective, enriched by anecdotes drawn from her expertise and knowledge.

Granddaughter of a jeweler, Althéa graduated from the École du Louvre and the Sorbonne University. She studied at the Gemological Institute of America in New York and worked for several international jewelry houses and auction firms before joining Christie’s in 2023.

This conference will be the first in a series of four events, taking place every month until April.
